It was a stormy day when I decided to hike down to the old Hamakua Sugar Cane Landing in Honokaa. The waves were rough and pounding against the old smooth lava rocks. It was amazing to be standing where they used to bring the supplies up by ship and a rope to process the sugar cane in the mill.

Waimea is in the heart of Paniolo ( cowboy ) country with Parker Ranch Land surrounding the town. The Hawaiian Islands hold such a natural beauty that I am in awe every time I travel. I always have a camera with me as I never know what beauty will present itself to me. I enjoy taking landscape and seascape photographs along with other subjects.
